Umrah or ‘lesser pilgrimage’ is the act of visiting the Ka’aba to worship Allah. it can be performed at any time in the year. During Ummrah Muslims perform Tawaf around the Ka’aba. Then they perform Sa’I. a person performs Umrah to worship Allah, gain many rewards, and have all their sins erased. The rules for umrah include: For a person to be a Muslim. The person should be mature, i.e have reached puberty. To be sane. Capable of performing Umrah Financially and Physically. The person should be safe during the trip to umrah (afford safe transport). Another thing to know is that there are two types of Umrah, and they are: Umrah al-Mufradah: this type can be done any time of the year except during the days of Hajj.
